About Us
People Just Like You
We are people just like you affected by noise pollution. We independently researched the issue and soon, got together and shared our experiences. Some of us live in big cities and some of us live in small towns, but each of us are experiencing the same problem.
We identified industries that profit from noise pollution. In fact, some of these companies promote anti-social behavior in their advertisements.
We are a united coalition of citizens, elected representatives, law enforcement professionals, educators, researchers, students and activists from the United States and abroad. We are dedicated to combating this urban blight that is ruining communities everywhere.
Education
The materials on the site comprise a working toolkit for people to learn how to take action in their own community to reduce noise pollution. People use these materials to present evidence to officials and the courts. We also produce educational materials for use by educators and students.
Support
We respond to people who contact us seeking advice and strategies to deal with a specific noise pollution problem. We show them how to lobby and negotiate with public officials and law enforcement. Some join us and become activists in their community.
Public Relations
We raise public awareness on noise pollution issues. We respond to media reports on noise pollution issues and legislation.
Political Lobbying
We testify in city council hearings and speak out at community meetings. We organize letter-writing campaigns and meet with elected officials on noise pollution legislation.
